How can I place an order with Bio-Sciences Limited?

Orders can currently be placed by telephone (01 284 5122), fax (01 284 5135), e-mail or post.
We are currently working on our new e-Procurement facility and will have that available to you in the next couple of months . We will keep you posted on our website of progress on this and will advise when and how you can register for online ordering.

Do you charge for delivery?

A.

No, in general we do not make an additional charge for delivery of your order. Where a specific request is made for an express shipment from one of our suppliers, the courier charge will be passed on at cost to the customer. While we do not charge for delivery on standard orders, we reserve the right to charge for delivery if the need should present itself.

Do you have a minimum order quantity or minimum order value?

A.

No, we don't implement a minimum order quantity or minimum order value, as we realise it is important to our customers to have the facility to place an order as required, rather than on the basis of order size or value.

What is the cut-off time each week for ordering Thermo Fisher Scientific products?

A.

The Thermo Fisher Scientific products (formerly Life Technologies) comprises of the following brands, Applied Biosystems, Invitrogen, Gibco and Ion Torrent . Other brands within this range such as Molecular Probes and Ambion are supplied by Thermo Fisher Scientific through Bio-Sciences Limited.

To avoid unnecessary delays, we endeavour to hold a minimum stock level on a wide range of frequently requested  product lines.  However, it is impossible to stock upwards of 40,000 products.
For non-stock items, all orders placed with us by 4:00pm each Tuesday will be dispatched to you the following Monday (subject to availability from Thermo Fisher Scientific).

How soon should I expect delivery of goods from the time of placing an order?

A.

  • Dublin area - orders placed by 5.00pm will be delivered on the next working day.
  • Outside Dublin - orders placed by 11.00am will be delivered on the next working day.

Q.

Can I return a product which has been ordered incorrectly?

A.

If a product has been ordered incorrectly and it is a perishable item that has been shipped on dry ice or gel packs or if the product must be stored at temperature other than ambient you will not be able to return this product.If the product you have ordered is stored at ambient temperature and the box that the goods are packed in is unmarked and unopened we may at our discretion accept the return of the item in question. We have a 25% restocking charge which be applicable in a case like this.

Should you wish to return an item, please contact our Sales Administrator who will be happy to arrange a goods collection for you.

Can I retrieve a Certificate of Analysis online?

A.

A Certificate of Analysis for any of the Thermo Fisher Scientific product range can be retrieved online by selecting Certificate of Analysis on our website. This link will bring you directly to the Thermo Fisher Scientific website, where you will be asked to input the product catalogue number and batch number to enable the retrieval of the correct Certificate of Analysis.
